For you fellow aesthetic workhorses, I want to share my current pursuit. I've been working solidly as a co-director of this gallery, all the while continuing to paint in the studio. The two pursuits, coupled with reading, writing and physical fitness have all been fueling each other. The basic concept of the gallery is simple, my partner Christopher-Calvin Pollard and I are making Tintypes of old master and contemporary master paintings, drawings and sculpture to bring back the aura of photography. I bring this website to light for two reasons: One is that the tintypes are aesthetic creations worth sharing and two is because having related passions brings both passions to a higher level of development. Focusing in on one passion may be good for a time being, but the real progress is made when you learn through by walking down a different road. Everyone grows tired at some point and needs a break, but my break time is not spent on the couch, it's spent connecting with artists and working on the gallery. I discover new works of art everyday and it ends up influencing my own paintings.
