I'm nearly done with all 32 illustrations for "Little Karl", which be available as an Ebook and in stores (Barnes & Noble) around Black Friday.
I've been working on these final illustrations all month and I've come up with a really strong metaphor to describe my work. When I begin any work, it's almost as if I feel slightly lost; there was a time when I felt totally lost, but not nowadays. Then the work, whether it be an illustration or oil painting, comes together and I feel like I've found a familiar road. The other very real possibility is that you can become totally lost, which happens also. But once I'm on the road home, I know everything will be okay as long as I keep driving.
This is how I've also felt about my life recently. I've been slightly lost, but I've kept driving and started to find some familiar roads.
