I'd been waiting to read this one for a while and I found it at the library today. I'm a big Murakami fan, but I have to suggest this one to anyone who hasn't read him before. It's really short (96 pgs); I'm not a fast reader but I read it in one sitting. The story is about a boy who's thrown into this strange library/prison chamber with a sheep boy and mysterious girl. It's extremely imaginative and very well written.
This is also the closest thing we may get to a graphic novel by Murakami. It has some very modern photo-artistic illustrations that match the story beautifully. The writing is very classical and contrasts nicely with the art direction.
It's available on Amazon for pretty cheap, but I'm always a fan of the library since it gives me a time frame to read the book. Check this one out if you're into Murakami's dream-like aesthetic.
