I'm teaching a morning plein air class in my hometown and one of my students was kind enough to share these awesome destinations with me. I want to thank her and to share them with my readers here. Isn't is fun to discover new places? And as a painter, these new places provide new inspiration! One of my favorite things is to be somewhere that I've never been before and I also enjoy the fact that painting en plein air gives me a reason to seek out and visit new places. Last Friday, we visited the Celery Farm nature preserve in Allendale, NJ. I was there to paint and also to film what you could call a "pilot" episode, which is essentially a proof of concept.
