Next Tuesday, June 3rd, I'll be flying out to Ireland to teach a plein air workshop in Ireland. I'm very thankful to Travel Fever Tours for this opportunity to teach and paint while staying at the beautiful Georgian manor, Ashbrooke House. Besides painting, we'll also have some really fun activities: • A full-day excursion to paint the cliffs of Donegal. • Traditional Irish musicians will visit the manor house. • We'll visit the estate's walled garden to see what's growing. • A falconer will introduce us to his magnificent birds. (I can't wait to sketch them!) • The estate hosts an equine therapy program for veterans. We will have an introduction to equine therapy and we'll have time to spend with the horses. • Visit the nearby town of Enniskillen. I won't be bringing my laptop so I will share an update and photos after I return! Today was the last week of our 6 week plein air painting class at the Stable in Ridgewood, NJ. I can't believe how quickly it went by, but I hope everyone was able to enjoy the experience of painting en plein air in this beautiful area. Everyone did an amazing job and I'm so proud of you all! Here are two photos of my final demo painting. It's an oil painting and I worked on it over two separate sessions. I'll get back again soon to paint the Ho Ho Kus Brook also. We're planning to do this course again in the future so keep an eye out! We at Eric En Plein Air are very grateful for the support and generosity of Raymar.
