"Eric En Plein Air" Update - KQED Letter of Support, American Public Television and Funding8/29/2025 I am so proud and happy to share this update about Eric En Plein Air. Over the past 8 months, I have been working hard to develop and produce this program for American Public Television. Now, I am excited to share this letter of support from KQED. We will be receiving another letter from American Public Television in the near future.
We have also received a lot of VIEWER SUPPORT which has been motivational and inspiring. After watching our pilot episode, many of our viewers asked, "Eric, when and where can I watch more episodes?" - KQED has agreed to a 6 episode initial season which is a good starting point for us. But this is where we need your help. I will be launching a Kickstarter soon and we will begin accepting donations. I will share information about how to donate soon. For now, please follow along at ericenpleinair.com/blog!

I have been a fan of Rosemary & Co Artists Brushes for a long time and I'm really excited to announce that I've just been invited to create a teacher's brush set with them! I have been in touch with Rosemary and her team for a number of years and they have always been very supportive of my journey. I will be creating this brush set while thinking about my own students and viewers of my developing instructional painting and travel program, Eric En Plein Air.
This is all pretty new so I'll share more as we move forwards with this opportunity. And I hope everyone is having a nice end of summer as we transition into another season. 🍂 After an amazing week in and around Saranac Lake, I'm heading back home tomorrow. Painting in the Adirondacks was a great experience and I really fell in love with the beauty of this place. There is so much to explore so I feel like I barely scratched the surface.
Thank you to everyone who purchased works at the sale and to my generous hosts at Camp Arden. I will never forget this experience and I can't wait to return again! My trip to the Adirondacks and Saranac Lake has been amazing so far! I've met a lot of great people and I'm painting multiple times per day. I'm proud of the work that I've done and I'm having a lot of exploring this area. I still have a few more days here so I'll be sharing more again soon.
