It's been quite a journey to getting a motorcycle. Like everything else in life, it's way more work than I anticipated. I was at the DMV all morning registering my bike and getting my license. I'm really proud of myself for going through this whole process.
If anyone in Northern NJ is looking to get your motorcycle license, I really encourage you to check out The Riding Academy of NJ. They have a complete basic riding course as well as advanced riding classes. If you pass their road test, they give you a waiver to take to the DMV and you can get your license. The instructor's are fantastic and I highly recommend it.
I'm also meeting up with M. Earl Smith soon to look at the official printed proofs for "Little Karl". It's going to be surreal to look at my illustrations in a book paired up with the brilliant writing of M. Earl Smith. We're looking over the proofs as the final step before the book is printed. The images of the book available now are digital renderings and may change slightly once we look at the proofs.
I'm so thankful that I went through the motorcycle process and the publishing process at the same time because they have a lot in common. I've learned so much over the past few months and I'm really excited to see what happens in the next few months.
