  It is with great joy that I'm announcing upcoming plein air workshops organized by gardentours.com!  We have been in contact for many months now, but our first workshop is opening soon and will take place from June 19th - 27th of 2025.
  Highlights for this 9-day workshop tour include the Gardens of Landriana and the spectacular Villa d’Este in Tivoli, known for its Renaissance fountains.  We will also explore the ancient Appia Antica, sketching ruins that have inspired artists like J.M.W. Turner and Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot.  We will also visit the Galleria Borghese, home to masterpieces by Bernini and Caravaggio, and the tranquil Garden of Ninfa, often called “the most romantic garden in the world.  Each day provides ample time for painting in peaceful settings, drawing inspiration from historical ruins, landscapes and beautifully designed gardens.  Participants will also visit iconic historical sites such as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and St. Peter’s Basilica.

  I wanted to share an update because I have just added some 2025 plein air tours onto my WORKSHOPS PAGE.  I'm very excited to be working with some amazing people who have put together some really spectacular itineraries for these tours. And the locations are really stunning: from a 12th century abbey in Southern France to a Georgian manor in northern Ireland.  The destinations and accommodations are going to be beautiful.
  As a teacher, I can't wait to introduce more students to the joy of painting en plein air in these wonderful settings.   These tours are open for all skill levels from brand new beginners to more experienced artists.  Creating art is a great way to explore the world and to make new friends!
