As the spring progresses, I have been in touch with some great schools and ateliers to offer some classes and workshops. I'm very excited about this as I am also beginning my 2nd semester of graduate study at the Florence Academy in July.
In March, I started teaching virtually at Fleisher Art Memorial, which has been great and I'm thoroughly enjoying it. For this summer, I'll be teaching an artistic anatomy course for Fleisher. Enrollment for this course opens May 9th so I'll post a link to that when it opens. For classes, I've also been in discussion with the Atelier at Flowerfield to join their teaching staff and to teach a course beginning in September of this year. I became associated with the Atelier by first doing an online lecture for them about the history and practice of plein air painting. You can watch that full lecture HERE. The Atelier has asked me to submit a course proposal which I have recently done. This course would be in person and allow students to engage with the atelier process of drawing and painting in both watercolor and oils. Also upcoming for the Atelier at Flowerfield, I'll be teaching a multi-day plein air painting workshop, which will be in August (more details to come on that also). In the meantime, we've also discussed doing an online live painting demo. It's going to be a busy summer and I look forward to a lot of teaching and painting!
