I'm back to work after a short break from painting. I've still been drawing a lot but I've been feeling lazy when it comes to painting. I think this laziness came out of the fact that I have work hanging at the Ridgewood Art Institute, which has been a great success in my life; as a result of this, I've been resting on my laurels and haven't painted. I finally started a new painting of a cocker spaniel puppy today and I feel much better.
I really love keeping the momentum of my life going and when that momentum is broken then I fall into unhappiness. I want to keep improving my painting skills, teaching, going to the gym and doing all the things that bring me true joy. So I've had to tell myself "Get back to work!" --I'll share more photos of this painting as it progresses.
