I'm so happy to announce that I sold my first piece on Zatista! Zatista is an online platform that allows artists to show and sell their work directly to buyers. You can also use Zatista to commission artwork from artists. Their website and support team is really top notch and runs smoothly.
Anyone who tries to sell art knows the difficultly of it; sometimes it can feel impossible. If you're an artist and you are looking for an online gallery then I recommend Zatista. As of now, they take a 45% commission, which is about average with most galleries, but they also send you all the packing material and certificates of authenticity to include in your shipment. Another bonus is that they use sites like 1st dibs, Amazon Fine Art, Wayfair and others to reach collectors.
It's a little different than other online platforms because artists need to apply in order to be accepted. They have about a 5% acceptance rate which is a good thing because it keeps the standards high and artists can feel proud of being on the site. You can find more information and apply to be an artist with THIS LINK.
